The bungalow was in a great place, near the beach. Nice and simple bungalow. Feels great to be close to nature in a nice garden.

Small room and no cabinet for clothes.

A decent and comfy nights sleep, lovely and quiet private beach! Staff could have been more helpful.

Nice little private beach and very comfy bed! Good shuttle service for the full moon party (300 baht for a round trip).

The staff weren’t too friendly when we were here.

Nice and comfy enough for a pit stop .

The bungalow was spacious and the balcony with the hammock was great. It’s a good price for a night before leaving or the first night of arriving or if you need to be close to the pier town. It’s a nice view close to the sea but I wouldn’t choose it as my spot to stay longer than a day or two as sea didn’t seem clean enough for me to consider swimming in although I think people were swimming in that area. . It is a Great location close to the pier and food market restaurants atms banks etc and walkable to lots of places .

Not the fault of the owners but mosquitoes do get in the room so a mosquito net would have been good. Google maps was giving completely incorrect directions from the address given by the property . Basically don’t take the short route. Follow what looks like the longer route on Google maps and you actually get there much quicker and easier. I was looking for for the nice clean beach spot to spend some lazy days without having to move much but this didn’t fit that bill unless you have your own transport so you can find the other nicer beaches to sit and swim.

I would stay there again but only if they change mattresses.

Location is great. Close to the sea, to be precise it is almost on the beach. Everything is in walking distance. Pretty much quiet place with singing birds. Staff is ok, but to be honest I didn't have much interaction. Hammock on the porch is very convenient. I stayed only for 7 nights and I am not sure about the cleaning policy.

Mattress is hard like hell. I managed to sleep somehow but it was quite uncomfortable. Only electrical devices were fan and lights. No kettle, no ac, no tv (but it is last thing I needed). Also there was no any kind of kitchenware. Little bit of work and it would be great place to stay.

Directly at the beach and in 10 walking minutes in the center.

Old rooms, no place for bagage. No Lines for wet or dry clothes. No cleaning in my few days. The price was to high for this service.

This stay was cozy and everything was a short distance away.

The big glass doors on the hut and it had a little hammock you could take down and get in. It felt cosy and the room was finished to a nice standard when I first went in. Loved the fact it was super close to the beach also Pillows were amazing, super comfortable

The mattress was quite uncomfortable and the bathroom was also quite awkward to use when I was in the shower the water was spraying everywhere & the bathroom also had a musty smell to it in there.

What was the highlight of The Pier

Fantastic location with a great value for money

The location is great. Situated very close to Thongsala Pier and lots of local bars restaurants and areas to explore. The beachfront bungalow option with A/C was really worthwhile. You can walk out onto the beach and take a swim in the sea with really warm shallow waters, being able to walk out hundreds of meters at low tide. The staff were helpful and friendly. We rented mopeds from reception to get around for 250baht per day (£5.84), and had none of the usual Thailand issues of being told youve damaged it and being conned for money which is really a releif. The beds were one of the most comfortable we’ve had in Thailand even after staying in 5* hotels in Bangkok. We will happily stay here again and highly recommend to anyone visiting the island. Also fantastic for dog lovers as they are very friendly and hang out around the beach and huts.

The bathrooms are exposed to the elements so beware of mosquitos as so close to water. Make sure you keep the bathroom door and front door shut at all times to stop them getting in.

It’s ok for a few days

I liked the bungalow. Pretty straightforward- bed, small balcony good for smokers, and bench to put your stuff and bathroom

Bugs everywhere, especially in the bathroom Didn’t clean my entire stay (4 nights)

Lovely little bungalows at the beach, well located, very quite and private, not far from the pier and food markets. My room was very clean, I enjoyed my stay there.

Not very social, so not easy to get to know other people, which was ok for me. There were no activities or anything you could book from the hotel, so you just have to find out on your own.

Pleasant

The hotel is located next to the beach, close to many restaurants and the food court. It’s a 5-10 minute walk to the harbor.

The curtains were full of mold, so the hole bungalow smelled moldy. We stayed there 7 nights and the rooms wasn’t cleaned once.
